Asst. Operations Manager
Description:
The Assistant Operations Manager assists with all daily operations functions of the facility including: developing and implementing policy, maintaining a safe and functional operating environment, monitoring daily operations and associated expenditures, implementing marketing strategies, managing supplies, maintaining the facility, and retaining overall responsibility for facility and staff.
Responsibilities including, but not limited to:
Hire, train, develop, evaluate, and manage labor for all operations employees
Collaborate with Operations Manager to ensure consistency in staffing, food security, safety, policies and procedures
Complete and deliver Floor Supervisor performance evaluations
Oversee Lead Employee program
Schedule and lead regular team meetings with operations employees
Create Entertainment Division employee work schedule and ensure they meet business needs including special events and holiday traffic
Communicate sales and marketing strategies with front line staff, work with Operations Manager to set sales goals
Assist Operations Manager with activity management including discounts, events, daily activities
Communicate facility holiday/closure, program and pricing schedule to staff
Ensure all staff members know all products, procedures, promotions, events, and services
Maintain culture that embraces and ensures guest safety and satisfaction
Develop, implement and enforce operations policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with Accident Prevention Plan in accordance with state and federal laws
Manage staff safety training program and response protocol
Maintain required certifications at all times
Enforce waiver policies
Provide exceptional customer service
Handle customer (internal and external) service issues with discretion, tact and professionalism
Monitor and update all facility signage, forms, and flyers
Directly manage safety and maintenance of facility, refuse area, parking lot, equipment, and attraction maintenance
Ensure facility is clean, open and inviting to all
Manage supplies ordering and operations expense tracking
Manage operations inventory including retail items and all supplies required to operate business
Ensure arcade equipment, lockers, games and other entertainment equipment is functional and safe
Communicate equipment repair needs to vendor(s) on timely basis
Provide staff with a welcoming and mutually supportive work environment
Set workflow process according to Operations Manager direction and monitor employee projects and outcomes
Maintain security of confidential employee information and documentation in compliance with state and federal law
Open and close facility, “Manager on Duty” shifts
Other responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
2 years preferred of personnel management (hospitality, restaurant, recreational facility background preferred)
2 years preferred leadership in a customer centric environment
2 years preferred merchandising and/or retail experience
First Aid Certification, CPR Certification and Food Handler’s Permit (or willingness to obtain)
Familiarity with MS Office software including Word and Excel; PowerPoint and Publisher knowledge is desired
Understanding of office management and processes
Ability to work nights/weekends/holidays
