Cable and Harness Technician with Security Clearance
Job ID: 22512 The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL), a University Affiliated Research Center, has been developing innovative technologies and solutions for cutting-edge DoD and intelligence programs for over six decades. Our expertise is in space and airborne IR, VIS, UV, and RF sensors, small satellite technologies, test and calibration, cybersecurity, data visualization and assurance, and ground stations. SDL is seeking a Technician for cable and harness assembly. This position includes communicating and providing feedback to engineering, interfacing with Stockroom and Manufacturing Specialists, and completing necessary workmanship training in crimp cable harnesses, hand soldering, visual inspection of assemblies, potting of connectors, and cable specific testing and labeling. Occasional overtime conditions may be requested for this position. Required Qualifications:High School graduate, GED, or some higher educationAbility to see a project though from start to finishSelf-motivated, dependable, and detail orientedAbility to learn automated machine operationAbility to identify and work through problems that may ariseSkilled at hand soldering and rework of cable assembliesAbility to pass IPC and NASA training to space level qualityProficiency in Microsoft office products (i.e., Word, Excel)Comfortable with teamwork and communication within the teamMust be a US citizen and be able to obtain a US government security clearance SDL Benefits: At SDL, we take pride in and highly value our employees.
