ODS is headquartered in Los Angeles, CA and also has offices/plants in Texas and North Carolina centrally located to serve clients across the country.Summary The Production Control Coordinator I is responsible for managing production workflow, monitoring job schedules, deploying incoming jobs into production, providing quality assurance and inventory management.Duties and ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and expedite flow of materials for printing and finishingUpdate scheduling at the start and end of shiftLog all jobs into Time TrackerLog out all jobs after they have been completed by each production departmentMonitor production throughout shiftsHelp to insure all jobs are out by scheduled due datesUpdate master folder for the daily shift reportsFollow record retention protocol for daily shift reportsIdentify potential production issues and escalate them to management, offering practical solutions or enhancementsNotify the team concerning equipment that is in down or in need of repairCommunicate with other Production Control Coordinators via shift turnover notes and daily shift turn meetingsOperate in a safe and efficient mannerEnsure 100% accuracy and quality with all ordersKeep workstation clean and organizedCommunicate with management on any issues not meeting Company standardsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications & RequirementsA Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related manufacturing experience preferred Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail, along with effective time-management abilities Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals Ability to write routine reports and correspondence is also required Strong mathematical skills are required Computer literacy with the ability to work with various file structures (pdfs, proficient in MS Excel reports) and managing data Knowledge of inventory software and order processing systems considered a plus Must be able to work overtime Working Conditions Must be able to perform the essential job duties. Work may be performed in an office, warehouse and/or manufacturing environment. Requires the ability to perform the following activities for the majority of the day: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or climb. In addition requires the ability to lift and/or push up to 10 pounds.
