Procurement Specialist
Job DescriptionPosition Overview:The Procurement Specialist/Buyer will be a critical member of the Sourcing team, and will be one of the faces to an ever-growing supplier network. This new role will support overall company growth, and while day-to-day sourcing tasks may vary, overall responsibility is to work with the Operations Team to ensure Customer needs are met.Duties And ResponsibilitiesAssist procurement activities for all business segments, supporting the team with contract reviews, cost and inventory management, and ensuring on-time delivery and quality of productCreate, execute, and update purchase and work orders consistent with operational/contractual requirements and to maintain reliable data/ETAsOversee inventory production scheduling and reporting of delaysCoordinate with Accounts Payable to ensure accuracy and timely payments to suppliersTrack backorders and work with Sourcing team to mitigate/prevent future stock outs Perform data analysis and make recommendations for new improvements within the supply chain and operations team.Work cross-functionally on new product introductions to ensure alignment on project deliverables (cost, quality, inventory, delivery)Job RequirementsExperience, Education And Skill RequirementsBachelor's degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, General Business or 5 years of relevant work experience Microsoft Office Suite - particularly Excel NetSuite experience a bonusStrong communication and problem-solving skillsBuyer experience preferred, but not requiredWork EnvironmentThis role will be based in Cold Spring headquarters. Some travel may be required to meet with vendors or to attend trade shows.
