We're a lean, experienced team, headquartered in Orlando with hiring focused in Florida and Georgia.About the RoleThe Lead QA Engineer will build out dedicated quality ownership for our products, our AWS-hosted, AI/ML-driven risk platform delivered through app.eolas.co and our companion mobile app. Today, QA is shared across the team alongside other responsibilities. You're coming in to make it your own!This is a blank canvas role. There's no existing QA team and no legacy process to untangle, just the normal, expected challenge of any growing SaaS product: catching regressions before they resurface. You'll have the room to build the strategy, tooling, and process from the ground up, and the trust to make it yours.Your first 30 days will focus on learning: the multifamily industry, our customers, and the QA foundation already in place (we lean on Playwright for automation today, with manual and exploratory testing filling the rest). At the end of that first month, you'll bring your own assessment of the QA structure you'd put in place at Eolas, and once that's set, you'll own the build.What You'll DoQuality Strategy & OwnershipBuild and own the QA strategy across web and mobile, replacing ad hoc coverage with a consistent, repeatable process.Define test plans, coverage standards, and quality gates for every release.Partner with engineering and product leads to shape acceptance criteria before work starts, not after.Test Automation & ExecutionDesign and maintain automated test suites for regression, integration, and API coverage.Run manual and exploratory testing on complex risk workflows and AI/ML-driven features.Own bug triage, tracking, and reporting through to resolution.Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with frontend, backend, and product teams to catch issues early in the cycle.Validate integrations with client property management systems.Support release readiness reviews and go/no-go calls.Process & ToolingSelect and maintain QA tooling, and wire automated testing into CI/CD.Define and track quality metrics, including defect escape rate and test coverage.Mentor other team members on QA best practices as the function and team grow.What We're Looking For6+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including experience owning QA for a SaaS product end to end.Experience testing across both web and mobile applications.Proven track record scaling automated test coverage (we use Playwright) - you default to automating, and reach for manual testing when it's the right call, not the first call.Experience with API testing and tools like Postman.Familiarity with AWS-hosted applications and CI/CD pipelines.Comfort testing AI/ML-driven features and the data pipelines behind them.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical issues for cross-functional teams.A strong problem-solving mindset and a bias toward action in a fast-paced, agile environment.Why EolasOwnership from day one.
