Project Interior DesignerWe are seeking a Project Interior Designer to join our growing team at Silver Studio Architects. The Project Interior Designer should possess an artistic flair, growing technical expertise, and strong communication and organizational skills. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about learning, adaptable, and eager to contribute to thoughtfully designed interior environments within a collaborative boutique studio setting.This role is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented Interior Designer who is eager to gain hands-on experience across all phases of architectural and interior design projects, from concept through construction and FFE installation. You will work closely with Project Interior Designers and report to Director of Interior Design on a variety of commercial based projects.ResponsibilitiesUnderstand client needs, preferences, and budgets.Communicate between the project team, client, consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure a clear understanding of project scope, objectives, and timelines.Participate in project meetings and assist with preparing and following up on meeting minutes.Assist with programming, concept, design development, construction documents, including selection of furniture, fixtures & equipment (FF&E), interior finishes, lighting, colors, and materials.Support sourcing, ordering, tracking, and installation of FF&E.Assist with client presentations and formal meetings for all phases.Conduct basic code research and apply findings to drawing documents.Coordinate with internal architectural team on daily basis.Assist in the production of high-quality construction documentation using Revit and coordinate with consultants (structural, MEP, lighting, AV, acoustical, accessibility, life safety, etc.).Assist with the development of 3D interior renderings using Revit and Lumion to help clients visualize proposed designs.Assist with RFIs and submittals during the CA Phase.Visit job sites with senior staff and assist with the preparation of field reports as needed.Support multiple projects concurrently at various stages of development.Assist in selecting all interior finishes per fire and accessibility codes for paint colors, wall coverings, and finishes that align with overall design intent desired by client and/or developer.Assist with resource library management as required.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.Proficiency in Revit required.3-7 years of relevant experience; experience focused on multifamily, commercial, or hospitality projects is a plus.Procurement knowledge is a plus but not required.Experience with SketchUp, Bluebeam, Photoshop, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Lumion, DesignSpec or similar design software is required.Entry-level knowledge of ADA, building, and life safety codes.Intermediate-level knowledge of interior material resources for contract grade specifications and FFE resources.Strong understanding of interior space planning, circulation, and functional layouts.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Collaborative and team-oriented within a boutique studio setting.Quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced work environment.Please submit the following files directly to our website for review and consideration.
