Warehouse Operations Specialist
The Warehouse Operations Specialist is responsible for providing strategic planning to achieve key business objectives in logistics operations. This role acts as a subject matter expert supporting operational best practices across supply chain, trade compliance, outsourcing, operational optimization, and tools/technologies. The individual will collect, analyze, and interpret data, and implement initiatives to optimize logistics efficiency and reduce costs.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Experience in the 3PL field launching logistics programs for leading logistics sectorsServe as a subject matter expert and resource for business and opportunity analysisBenchmark competitive 3PL and carrier RFP/RFQ processesSupport vendor selection and overall vendor operations strategyReview and assist in statement of work creation and contract negotiation with vendor partnersCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and reduce costsTrack, analyze, and improve warehouse performance metrics such as on-time delivery and cost savingsManage warehouse vendors to ensure order requirements are met with accuracy and timely deliveryDevelop initiatives from data analysis to improve accuracy and prevent recurring issuesDevelop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse order status reports, including KPIs, open orders, and closed order performanceBuild and maintain relationships with customers and warehouse vendorsLead project implementation to drive process improvement initiatives in warehouse quality and efficiencyCollect, analyze, and interpret data to identify patterns and trendsDefine new data collection and analysis processesPerform additional duties as assigned; job functions are subject to change at any timeKnowledge and Skills:Expert in logistics supply chain, trade compliance, and operational evaluationProactive with the ability to work independently and in a team environmentStrong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teamsExcellent organizational skills with strong ownership mindsetProficient in Microsoft Excel and Visio for project executionWorking knowledge of supply chain, global logistics, and trade complianceAbility to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, and results-oriented environmentStrong judgment and discretion in building internal and external partnershipsExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishRequired Qualifications:Years of EducationBachelor’s degree in Business or a related field and 4 years of relevant experienceORHigh School diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant experience in logistics, supply chain management, and/or project managementWork Experience-4+ years of experience in a logistics environment or project managementProven track record of leading and developing teams focused on process improvementExperience working with 3PL companiesPreferred Qualifications:Background in logistics and supply chain managementStrong ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilitiesHighly organized with strong attention to detailDemonstrated leadership behaviors including integrity, innovation, teamwork, and customer focusProficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based applicationsStrong verbal and written communication skills for complex or confidential informationWorking Conditions:Office environmentRequires extended periods of sitting and use of a computer, phone, and office equipmentDomestic travel required$70,304 to $80,080 annually is the estimated pay range for this role working in Fremont, California office. The final amount will be determined based on qualifications & experience of the candidate relative to the role.
