Ideal Candidate
DVM or equivalent degree
Board-Certified or Residency-Trained (ACVIM Small Animal Internal Medicine)
Eligible for Florida licensure
Proficiency in diagnostic ultrasonography
Experience performing advanced endoscopic procedures, including bronchoscopy, gastroduodenoscopy, colonoscopy, and rhinoscopy
Strong commitment to collaborative, high‑quality specialty care

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Veterinary Internist to join our team in a high‑volume, fast‑paced specialty hospital. This position offers a collaborative environment with strong case variety and the ability to practice high‑quality medicine without on‑call or weekend requirements.
Schedule
Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
No on-call responsibilities
No weekends required (optional if desired)
Responsibilities
Perform and interpret advanced diagnostic procedures, including abdominal and thoracic ultrasound
Conduct endoscopic procedures (gastrointestinal endoscopy, bronchoscopy, cystoscopy)
Perform fine needle aspirates (FNA) and bone marrow aspirates
Manage a diverse internal medicine caseload in a fast‑paced setting
Oversee and manage in‑house transfers from ER and other departments
Develop and implement diagnostic and treatment plans
Communicate effectively with referring veterinarians and clients
Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care
Qualifications
Board-certified or residency-trained in Small Animal Internal Medicine (ACVIM)
Strong diagnostic, procedural, and case management skills
Ability to thrive in a busy, team‑oriented environment
Excellent communication and organizational skills
