Systems & Data Integration Specialist

IDF is certified by the U.S. Department of the Treasury as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) and embodies the concept of public-private partnership through its investor network that includes banks, foundations, private interests, local and federal government.JOB SUMMARY:The Systems & Data Integration Specialist is responsible for developing a deep understanding of IDF’s business lines, systems, and data environment, and designing and implementing improvements to how those systems work together. This role focuses on practical execution in reducing manual processes, improving system connectivity, and supporting ongoing data needs.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Business Understanding· Develop a thorough understanding of IDF’s lending programs, operational workflows, and reporting requirements.· Learn how each core system (CRM, loan origination, loan servicing, and reporting tools) is used across teams.· Document current-state system usage, dependencies, and data flows.Systems Integration· Design and implement integrations between third-party platforms including, but not limited to: Zoho CRM, Calyx Point, Abrigo, and The Mortgage Office.· Support the technical management of IDF’s data pipelines and system-to-system integrations.· Develop, maintain, and monitor API connections, data exports, and automated data pipelines.· Collaborate with internal technical resources to implement system enhancements.· Reduce manual data pulls and spreadsheet consolidation through automation.Data Architecture & Design· Assess current reporting and reconciliation workflows and recommend optimal data architecture solutions.· Identify limitations, risks, and scalability concerns in current architecture.· Design and implement a centralized database if appropriate, using Microsoft-based tools (e.g., Azure SQL).· Support historical data ingestion and normalization efforts where necessary.· Balance immediate operational needs with long-term sustainability in all technical decisions.Data Quality & Governance· Establish data standards, naming conventions, and validation rules across all systems.· Build reconciliation logic to ensure consistency and accuracy between source platforms.· Ensure datasets are structured, documented, and maintained in a way that supports reliable reporting and analysis.· Monitor data integrity and proactively identify and resolve data quality issues.· Contribute to the development of organization-wide data governance practices and documentation.Collaboration & Enablement· Partner with internal stakeholders to understand operational, lending, and reporting needs.· Translate business requirements into scalable technical data solutions.· Define and maintain canonical data definitions in partnership with BI and leadership.· Provide clean, well-structured datasets that support reporting, analytics, and decision-making.· Coordinate with internal technical resources to align system access, security, and platform dependencies.· Document system integrations, data flows, and data definitions to support long-term sustainability and knowledge transfer.General· Work as “One Team” and provide backup support as needed to another area of the organization.· Represent IDF in the community including building strong working relationships with community partners. All employees are responsible for customer and client inquiry routing (phone, emails, mail, deliveries, etc.).The duties and responsibilities described herein are not a comprehensive list and additional tasks may be assigned necessitated by business demands. The Systems & Data Integration Specialist will report to the Chief Operating Officer.QUALIFICATIONS:· 2+ years experience in systems integration, data engineering, or enterprise application development.· Experience working within a lending, banking, or financial services organization, preferably with exposure to loan origination, servicing, or credit risk workflows.· Strong experience working with third-party SaaS platforms and APIs.· Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.· Ability to think strategically, work independently, and recommend technical solutions without overengineering.· Proficiency in API development (REST, webhooks) and data pipeline design.· Strong database design experience (Microsoft ecosystem preferred).· Demonstrated commitment to the mission and values of the organization.COMPENSATION:· Salaried position. $64,000 – $93,000· Benefits include Paid Holidays and Vacation, Paid Sick Time and Disability, Paid Volunteer Hours, Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement, and Life Insurance.WORKING CONDITIONS/ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:· Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodation.· This job operates in an office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment.· The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.· Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.· The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.· Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling while exerting up to 10 pounds of force.Impact Development Fund (IDF) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
