Read on…The Fun StuffManage communication websites, to include not just updates to content but improving functionality (a UX’ers dream) using WordPress and Joomla.Building websites from the ground up.The NecessitiesYou must have a bachelor’s degree in UX, Design, or a related field, and 5+ years of experience (4 additional years of professional experience working as a front-end developer, web designer, UX designer, or related field can be substituted in lieu of degree).Experience designing and developing high-quality websites using WordPress and Joomla!Knowledge of WCAG 2.x, Section 508 compliance, responsive design, and front-end best practices in secure government environments.Experience with HTML and CSS.Developing wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups is your jam.Knowledge of human-centered design methodology or design thinking principles.You can successfully build out websites from the ground up and easily transfer existing content along the way.Working independently or jumping in to work collaboratively with a team.You have an awesome portfolio or link you can share that showcases design experience.Ability to take the reins and manage projects thought the website development process.The Nice to HavesCertifications in UX/UI, Accessibility, and/or Front-End Development.The Place to BeMcLean, VASalary DetailsSalary range provided during selection process.
