Job Title: Packaging Machine OperatorJob DescriptionThe Machine Operator is responsible for assisting with setup and operation of milling machinery including but not limited to grain cleaning equipment, milling machines, mixing machines, and toting machines. The operator will also operate a forklift within all areas of the facility.Essential Job Functions:Assists with running milling lines, stone mills, hanging totes and creating mixesAccurately maintains daily production logs that are legible, neat, and orderlyMonitors quality control throughout entire milling processAssists with identifying faulty equipment and notifying lead or supervisorComplies with all company policies and procedures and operates all equipment in a safe and food-safe manner Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).Previous experience in the packaging industry, graining milling and/or experience as a forklift operator, machine operator or similar duties preferred.Frequently requires the ability to lift and stack products weighing up to 40 pounds.Position does require standing for long periods of time.Position requires the ability to work at a fast pace in a fast paced manufacturing environment.Current schedule hiring for is 6:00pm-6:30am rotational scheduleEVP:$21.00/hr after 90 day contract + DifferentialMedical, Dental, Vision Benefits401(k) ContributionEmployee Stock ownership PlanLife InsuranceVacation + Sick timePaid holidaysscholarship fundPet insuranceExperience Level:Entry LevelWork SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Milwaukie, Oregon.Work EnvironmentThe primary work environment is within the production department, with no adverse conditions associated. Use of personal protective equipment such as ear plugs, safety glasses, and hairnets are mandatory, and non-slip shoes are recommended. Employees will be exposed to common food allergens.
