The ideal candidate will assist in various construction and maintenance tasks ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.Duties and Responsibilities:Assist skilled tradespeople in various construction tasks, including framing, drywall installation, and paintingPerform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings and facilitiesOperate hand and power tools safely and efficientlyLoad and unload materials and equipment, ensuring proper handling and storageMaintain a clean and organized worksite, adhering to safety protocols and regulationsCollaborate with team members to achieve project goals and complete tasks on scheduleConduct inspections and identify maintenance needs in and around the lodgeAssist in site preparation, including digging, grading, and clearing debrisParticipate in safety meetings and training sessions Travel Requirements 0 - 10%Job RequirementsHigh school diploma preferred or equivalentPrior experience in construction or maintenance preferred but not requiredBasic knowledge of construction tools and techniquesAbility to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a teamPhysical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasksStrong communication skills and a positive attitudeValid driver's license may be requiredMust be able to lift 50 lbs. or more for extended periods of timeMust be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorshipCategoryFacilities: Planning, Design, Management, Construction & SafetyLocationKetchikan, AK - Ketchikan, AK 99901 US (Primary)Education
