Locksmith/Security Technician

Locksmith Technician — Cameras, Access Control, Locks & DoorsWe’re hiring a hands-on Locksmith/Security Technician with strong experience in mechanical and electronic security systems. You’ll install, service and troubleshoot locks, door hardware, access control systems, and video security (CCTV/IP). The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused, customer-facing, and able to work independently or on small team.Key responsibilities·       Install, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical locks, cylinders, deadbolts, electronic locks, panic hardware, door closers, and commercial door systems·       Install, configure, and service access control systems (card readers, smart locks, keypads controllers, credentials)·       Install, align and service security cameras, NVR/DVR systems, and related cabling·       Diagnose and repair door operators, automatic doors, electric strikes, and maglocks·       Rekey locks, cut and program keys and smart keys; service filing cabinet locks·       Run and terminate low-voltage cabling and test for proper connectivity·       Provide on-site system commissioning, documentation, and basic user training·       Respond to service calls, provide accurate estimates, and maintain clear job records and time sheets·       Follow safety procedures, maintain company vehicles and stock of parts/tools; adhere to safety and locksmithing best practices·       Work with project managers and electricians to coordinate installations on commercial sites·       Perform door adjustments, frame repairs, threshold work, and hardware alignment·       Provide clear work orders, parts lists, and accurate time/materials reporting·       Communicate professionally with customers·       Required qualifications·       2+ years hands-on experience in commercial locksmithing or security systems, including access control systems (readers, controllers, software) and CCTV/IP camera installation·       Proficient with low-voltage wiring, terminations, and basic network concepts for IP devices·       Strong mechanical skills for locks, doors, and hardware adjustments·       Valid driver’s license and clean driving record·       Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders or in confined spaces·       Excellent customer-facing skills and professional demeanorPreferred·       Locksmith certification (e.g., ALOA CPS, CRL) or manufacturer training certifications·       Experience with electronic key systems, access-control platforms, and major camera brands·       Basic electrical knowledge and low-voltage wiring certification·       Basic familiarity with door hardware codes and standards (e.g., ADA, BHMA)Compensation & benefits·       Competitive pay and performance bonuses·       Paid time off·       Company vehicle, fuel card, and tool reimbursement·       Ongoing training and manufacturer certifications·       Opportunities for career growth and leadership roles
