Software Tester/QA Analyst 3 -Local to Richmond, VA Only

Job SummaryThe Test / QA Lead is responsible for defining, managing, and executing the quality assurance strategy to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable software solutions. This role leads testing efforts across the software development lifecycle, coordinates QA resources, establishes testing standards, and works closely with development, product, and business stakeholders to mitigate risk and ensure system readiness. Familiarity with establishing a new software testing program which includes standards, templates, procedures, and best practices. Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and own the overall QA and testing strategy across projects and releasesLead test planning, execution, and reporting for functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT)Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, and traceability matricesCoordinate QA activities across internal teams and third-party vendorsEnsure alignment between requirements, test coverage, and acceptance criteriaManage defect tracking, prioritization, and resolutionEstablish QA standards, best practices, and test governance processesOversee test environments, test data preparation, and release readiness assessmentsProvide risk-based testing recommendations and go/no-go input for releases Required Qualifications5+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance3+ years of experience in a QA Lead, or Test LeadStrong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and/or Waterfall methodologiesHands-on experience with test management and defect tracking toolsExperience in automated testing frameworks and toolsExperience leading UAT and working with business stakeholdersExperience in clinical healthcare environments Skills & CompetenciesStrong leadership and stakeholder management skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesClear, concise written and verbal communicationAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesDetail-oriented with a strong quality mindset Working ConditionsOccasional extended hours during critical testing cycles or releasesParticipation in release planning and go-live activities
