Gain on the job training that will prepare you for direct entry to a manufacturing position or full time employment.Role & ResponsibilityBobcat Company is currently hiring for part-time summer positions at our Litchfield, MN location:Actively participate in development of specified technical skills related to manufacturing as directed in the following areas: product realization, customer service, product design and development, purchasing, and quality measurementsPositions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or blueprint.Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets or other fasteners using hand, air and/or power tools.Removes small quantities of metal to produce close fit between parts.Tends to machines to perform force fitting or fastening operations as specified.Develop skills in assembly including, but not limited to, the use of hand toolsPerforms duties in a safe, efficient manner in compliance with safety rules and regulationsLearn and adhere to quality standardsPerforms overtime work as requiredPerform other job functions as necessaryParticipates and engages in continuous improvementKeeps area clean and organized according to the 5S programJob Requirement Must be at least 18 years of age at time of hire.Work experience 0-2 years or more, preferably in a manufacturing environmentTravel Required: less than 10%Ability to learn, practice and adhere to practical, hands on and safety requirements and standard basic hand and power toolsUnderstand basic arithmetic. Ability to speak and write in a clear and understandable manner for internal/external relationsAbility to communicate with others effectively in both written and verbal manners.
