Summary:The Process Engineer manages process improvements in support of site safety, waste, quality, productivity performance and routinely completes and assists with continuous improvement projects as identified or assigned for cost reduction and/or increasing product value.Responsibilities: Support manufacturing and maintenance personnel as needed to resolve process, quality and machine issuesConduct process and product data analyses to routinely monitor process capability and maintain centerlinesSource new tooling and equipment; complete POs for approvalC-BUM champion for assigned areaPerform risk-assessment and management of change for new processes / machineryRecommend machine improvements or replacements based on data and experience (capital or expense items)Identifies cost savings potentials and implementation thereofDefines optimal process settings, and standardization across all crewsSupport manufacturing personnel in identifying root cause and developing corrective/preventative actions associated with both customer and internal complaintsAssist with training production and maintenance employees on equipment use and functionSupport the commercialization of new products, processes and equipmentAssist in the development of Work Instructions (WI)Travel to customer and supplier sites as needed (10%)Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related disciplinePrevious experience with web handling and converting processes, coating background strongly desiredPrevious experience in process improvement implementation (quality, output, efficiency, utilization, scrap reduction)Computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS-Project, AutoCAD)Competence in use of statistics & statistically designed experiments (DOE)Familiar with 24 x 7 manufacturing environment/requirementsProject management certification desiredPrevious experience working with integrating electrical and mechanical systems a plusPLC experience (Siemens, Allen-Bradley) is a plusSix Sigma/Lean certification a plusPrevious experience working in a regulated environment (ISO, GMP) preferredBilingual Spanish required
