CNC Lathe Operator Job Description Job Summary We are looking for a SETUP machinist for our Mills and Lathes. 1 Full time position open for Mill and Lathe, 1 Part time position open for 2nd shift for Mill and Lathe. The perfect person would be able to setup Mill and Lathes. Hours: Monday - Friday 6 AM/7AM- 9:30 PM. Saturday: 7-3:30 PM 40 hours a week full time 20 Hours a week part time Vacation + sick days. Negotiable hours. We are flexible with longer lunches, breaks to pick up kids from school etc. We are a small business, about 12 employees. 8 MILLS, all 3-axis.DOOSAN and HAAS. 4 Lathes, 1 Live tool, 3 two axis lathes. We are planning to purchase a 4th axis, and 2 more lathes in the next 2 months. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC lathe machines / Mills With at least 4 years of experience as a SETUP, not as an operator. EDIT PROGRAMS and work independently and as a Team. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining operations. Perform precision measuring using instruments such as micrometers and calipers to ensure accuracy of parts. Conduct routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any operational issues. Handle materials safely, including loading and unloading raw materials and finished products. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety guidelines. Experience SETUP For Mill or Lathe , with 4 + Years experience as setup. Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical specifications. Knowledge of precision measuring instruments and their applications in quality control. Ability to operate hand tools Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
