Material Handler

Job Title: Material Handler/ Kitter Shift/Hours/Days: Monday-Friday 1st Shift 6am-2:30pm Client Profile The client is best known as a third-party logistics (3PL) provider specializing in warehousing, distribution, transportation, and supply chain management. Headquartered in Wytheville, Virginia, the company has served manufacturers and distributors throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast for more than 30 years. Key Responsibilities · Load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse using pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material handling equipment (training provided if applicable). · Pick, pack, and stage customer orders for shipment. · Receive incoming shipments and verify products against packing slips and purchase orders. · Organize inventory and maintain clean, orderly storage locations. · Accurately scan and track inventory using warehouse management systems or handheld scanners. · Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits. · Inspect materials for damage and report discrepancies to supervisors. · Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines. · Keep work areas clean and organized through daily housekeeping. · Collaborate with warehouse team members to meet daily production and shipping goals. · Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned. What You’ll Bring · High school diploma or GED preferred. · Previous custodial, janitorial, or housekeeping experience is preferred but not required. · Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. · Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. · Dependable attendance and punctuality. · Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, standing, walking, and reaching throughout the shift. · Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer instructions.
