Beyond emergency response, Central Pierce values community engagement, offering youth education, supporting local events, and fostering future fire service leaders.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site position for a Business Intelligence Coordinator based in Puyallup, WA. The Business Intelligence Coordinator supports the Business Services Division by administering District data systems, performing data analysis and reporting, and contributing to data governance and process improvement initiatives. This position consolidates key business intelligence responsibilities from various administrative roles into a centralized technical support function. The role emphasizes data integrity, reporting accuracy, application support, and documentation to ensure reliable information is available for operational, financial, and strategic decision-making across the District.Qualifications RequiredBachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business, or a related field; and Minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in data analysis, reporting or systems administration.Valid driver's license in good standing. DesiredExperience in a fire district/department. PreferredTraining or certification in business intelligence tools, SQL, data visualization platforms, or data governance frameworks.Experience with public sector organizations or emergency services data.Familiarity with LEAN/Six Sigma, project management, or compliance-driven environments.Experience with MS Fabric, Snowflake, or similar cloud-based data warehouse platforms.Strong Analytical Skills and expertise in Data AnalyticsProficiency in building and maintaining DashboardsExperience with monitoring and applying Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to inform decision-makingKnowledge and experience in using Business Intelligence (BI) toolsExcellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team
