Shuttle Driver

PLEASE READ: Temp to hire! Full time position - 6 days a week. Driving vehicles as needed, 12 hour AM & PM shifts - 6AM-6PM or 6PM-6 AM. Weekends are mandated. Unfortunately, we can not accommodate any scheduling restrictions at this time. Must have: A valid- (not expired) Driver's license- no recent suspensions, accidents, and have minimal moving infractions. Must pass a MVR, Background, and Drug test along with other screenings Essential Duties Ensure vehicles are parked in proper locations Drive vehicles from point A to point B as determined by customer requirements Ensure vehicles are available for work in the other areas Ensure yard quality standards are maintained Drive vehicles to and from specified locations Inspects cars to detect damage and to verify accessories are turned off Park new vehicles in assigned areas according to model and bay location Move vehicles from staging areas to shipping bay location Abide by Vehicle Handling Instructions and processes required by customer(s) Drive vehicles in-yard and over public roadways safely Park vehicles in assigned areas according to model and bay locations. Must be able to follow directions Must maintain production standards of units per hour to meet production standards. Ability to be transported via van to staging areas. Ability to walk distances in-yard in order to get vehicles required to be moved. Additional Responsibilities Look for lost units Daily clean up Other duties assigned by lead or manager Minimum Requirements Ability to write, read, and comprehend English Ability to read and understand location cards and work orders Valid driver's license; Good driving record Able to drive automatic vehicles Able to lift 5 pounds Ability to pass driver's safety test at 80% or better Ability to adhere to strict quality standards without variance Ability to walk, stand, bend up to 75% of an 11-hour shift to meet production Ability to work outdoors 100% of the time in all weather conditions Ability to read VIN numbers accurately Ability to interact with others effectively Ability to communicate diplomatically Good visual ability Ability to read and understand MSDS Behavior and conduct that maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so you get along with customers, vendors, co-workers, and management Good and regular attendance Ability to work in a variety of situations Positive demeanor Must be able to follow directions Must adhere to safety procedures Able to react to change productively Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.20 per hour Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week Schedule: 12 hour shift Day shift Evening shift Every weekend Home daily Morning shift Night shift No nights Overnight shift Overtime Weekends as needed People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply License/Certification: Driver's License (Required) Shift availability: Night Shift (Required) Overnight Shift (Preferred) Day Shift (Required) Ability to Relocate: Dolton, IL 60419: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
