Machine Operator (2nd Shift)
Position SummaryThe Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining production equipment to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, and monitor assigned production machineryPerform equipment adjustments to maintain product quality and production efficiencyInspect finished products to ensure they meet quality specificationsLoad raw materials into machines and remove finished productsPerform routine machine cleaning and basic preventative maintenanceIdentify and report equipment malfunctions or quality issues to the supervisor or maintenance teamAccurately complete production, quality, and downtime documentationMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company safety policiesFollow all OSHA regulations and company safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Assist with changeovers, setup, and startup of production linesWork collaboratively with team members, maintenance personnel, and supervisors to meet production goalsPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredAbility to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shiftPrior manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred (paper industry a plus)Ability to read and interpret work orders and specificationsMechanical aptitude and attention to detailFrequently lift, push, or pull up to 50 poundsAbility to bend, stoop, reach, and climb as neededAbility to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, moving machinery, and varying temperaturesAbility to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toe footwearWork EnvironmentManufacturing/production environment with exposure to noise, dust, moving machinery, and varying temperaturesRequires standing for extended periods and occasional heavy lifting
