Youth & Family Services Specialist
The Youth & Family Services Specialist is a high-level practitioner responsible for the psychological and social safety net of the organization. This role moves beyond traditional advocacy to serve as a Behavioral Strategist and Grant Program Lead. The Specialist bridges the gap between club-level incidents and organizational improvement by developing staff resources, leading incident reviews, and managing high-value grant initiatives. This individual serves as a bilingual liaison, ensuring that communication with our diverse families—particularly those in the Bryan and Caldwell communities—is seamless, culturally competent, and goal-oriented.ResponsibilitiesBehavioral Systems & Staff Resource DevelopmentThe Resource Guide: Further develop and update a comprehensive Behavioral Management Resource Guide for staff use at all club sites. Incident Review Board (IRB): Chair weekly Behavioral Incident Review meetings and analyze MyClubHub/Salesforce data through the case management platform. Frontline Coaching: Spend 25% of the work week on the floor at various sites, observing staff-member interactions and providing real-time coaching to improve club climate.2. Family Advocacy & Multi-Site OutreachStandardized Post-Incident Protocol: Establish a uniform outreach process for all major behavioral incidents across all sites (Bryan, Caldwell, etc.) within 24-48 hours and set meeting with parents or guardians. Family Resource Hub: Establish a rotating presence at both the Bryan and Caldwell sites to ensure all families have access to available resources. Host family nights to highlight club opportunities in collaboration with other staff and community partners. 3. Grant Initiative Oversight Strategic Advancement: Direct implementation of the Future Focus Initiative and other grant related programs. This includes tracking teen participation rates, ensuring curriculum fidelity, and gathering the qualitative data (stories/interviews) and quantitative data (metrics) needed for grant reporting. OverOutcome Management: Audit program effectiveness across all grant-funded cycles to ensure the "Success Circuit" workshops are meeting established KPIs and moving members toward career or college readiness.4. Premier Leadership & Member RecruitmentLegacy Programs: Serve as the Lead Advisor for Keystone (High School) and Torch Club (Middle School). Youth of the Year (YOY) Pipeline: Design a year-round "YOY Development Track." Growth & Recruitment: Develop and execute a targeted outreach plan to recruit underrepresented demographics, specifically focusing on the 14–18 age bracket and families. QualificationsEducation & BackgroundAcademic Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in social work, Psychology, Sociology, or Higher Education Administration required.Bilingual Proficiency: Professional-level fluency in English and Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing) is required to ensure equitable family advocacy. Experience & ExpertiseProfessional Track Record: 3+ years of experience in youth development, social services, or educational leadership with a focus on case management.Behavioral Strategy: Advanced knowledge of Trauma-Informed Care, Restorative Justice, and Positive Youth Development (PYD) models.Coaching & Leadership: Proven ability to coach frontline staff on behavior management and lead multidisciplinary meetings. Grant & Program Management: Experience advancing grant-funded initiatives and advising leadership clubs. Technical & Administrative SkillsData Competency: Proficiency in MyClubHub, Salesforce, or similar CRM platforms for tracking behavioral trends and program outcomes.Strategic Communication: Ability to draft formal success plans, resource guides, and professional reports for leadership and community partners.Other duties may be required.
