This role includes mentoring other technicians, ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and correctly, and maintaining strong communication with the office and customers.What You'll Be DoingTechnical ResponsiblitiesDiagnose, repair, and install HVAC and/or plumbing systemsTroubleshoot complex service issues independentlyOversee and ensure quality of installations and repairsEnsure all work meets local codes and safety standardsComplete service documentation accurately and promptlyLeadership & Team SupportLead and mentor junior technicians and apprenticesSet the standard for professionalism, workmanship, and customer serviceCommunicate clearly with the dispatcher and office staff regarding job statusKeep jobs on schedule and notify the office of any delays or return visitsAssist in training team members on best practices and technical skillsCustomer ExperienceCommunicate clearly with homeowners and commercial clientsExplain repairs, recommendations, and estimates in an honest and professional mannerRepresent the company with integrity and respectEstimates & Follow-ThroughBuild accurate estimates for repairs and installationsEnsure estimates are completed in a timely mannerIdentify additional work opportunities when approrpiateConfirm job completion and customer satisfaction before leaving siteEmergency & After-Hours WorkParticipate in an on-call rotation for emergency serviceRespond professionally and efficiently during urgent situationsQualifications5+ years of HVAC and/or plumbing experienceStrong diagnostic and troubleshooting skillsValid driver's license with clean driving recordAbility to work independently and lead othersStrong communication skillsCommitment to quality and safetyPreferred (But Not Required)State licensing (if applicable)EPA certification (for HVAC)Experience leading or supervising a teamExperience with commercial and residential systemsWhat We're Looking ForA leader who sets the tone for the teamSomeone dependable and accountableA problem-solver who stays calm under pressureA technician who treats customers like neighbors
