Substance Use Disorder Counselor

Office location will be in Portland East with intermittent remote work a possibility. As part of an interdisciplinary team of professionals dedicated to providing healing and hope to patients, families, and communities affected by substance use disorder, SUD Counselors at Serenity Lane: Create a safe and therapeutic environment for individuals and families that facilitates the exploration of the chemical dependency. Counsel individuals in one-on-one and group sessions. Maintain records according to OAR, ASAM, CARF, and Serenity Lane’s policies and procedures. Ensure people in our care have individualized service plans. Collaborate with professional staff on treatment plans for patients and provide outside referrals as needed. Comply with all in-house and third-party reporting responsibilities and protocols. Education and Experience: · Current Oregon CADC I certification required. · Oregon CADC II a plus. · High School Diploma · 2 years in SUD outpatient Treatment preferred. · Electronic Health Record experience preferred. · Proficiency with Outlook a plus. · Experience working in a behavioral health facility a plus.
