Founded in 2025, the company has raised $12M and grown to a 15-person team focused on the operational and financial systems behind mission-critical hardware production. This is an opportunity to help build a clean-slate product as the platform expands from operational inventory and supply-chain management into a complete financial reporting system.As a backend-focused Full-Stack Engineer, you will architect the data models, APIs, and services behind new finance and accounting modules. You’ll apply domain knowledge from ERP, fintech, or accounting software to meaningful greenfield projects, owning features from technical design through deployment and iteration. While backend systems will be your primary area of ownership, you’ll also contribute to the React frontend when needed.## Key Responsibilities- Design data models for invoicing, payments, P&L reporting, and other complex financial workflows.- Build client-facing APIs connecting the platform with HR, payroll, accounting, and other external systems.- Architect backend services using Python, FastAPI, and PostgreSQL.- Make thoughtful architectural decisions between OLAP and OLTP approaches.- Aggregate operational data with labor, subscription, and financial inputs to produce reliable reporting.- Own substantial greenfield features end-to-end, from technical design and schema decisions through deployment and iteration.- Contribute to the React frontend when needed while maintaining primary ownership of backend systems.- Collaborate directly with domain stakeholders on accounting and finance requirements.## Required Qualifications- 3–7 years of backend or full-stack engineering experience building production systems.- Mastery of Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and GraphQL.- Experience working at an ERP, fintech, or accounting software company.- Experience with data modeling for invoicing, payments, or financial reporting.- Strong schema design skills.- Practical understanding of OLAP versus OLTP trade-offs.- Track record of driving greenfield features from design through deployment.- Fluency with accounting and finance concepts.- Ability to collaborate directly with domain stakeholders.- Must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder; visa sponsorship is not available.## Preferred Qualifications- 5+ years of backend or full-stack engineering experience.- Experience designing clean, client-facing APIs for integrations with HR, payroll, or accounting tools.- Familiarity with Docker.- Familiarity with CI/CD.- Familiarity with React.- Familiarity with WebSockets.- Experience working in defense technology.- Experience working with manufacturing software.## Skills & Competencies- Backend software engineering.- Full-stack development.- Python and FastAPI.- PostgreSQL.- GraphQL.- API design and integration.- Data modeling and database schema design.- Financial data modeling.- Invoicing, payments, and financial reportingM and has a 15-person team.
