Job Description:Supports the credit balance team in resolving complex issues on patient accounts.Essential FunctionsAs a Lead Credit Balance Representative, you will be the Subject Matter Expert for the following:Researches, validates and approves adjustments and refundsProvides training and coaching to credit balance team while maintaining confidentialityConfidential presentation of individual credit balance team's Quality Assurance (QA) auditsTimely coordination and resolution of compliance, third-party and audit refund projectsAssist Credit Balance Leadership in creating and updating department workflowsCoordination with other departments and Credit Balance Clerical team to ensure checks are printed and processed in a timely mannerPartner with finance departments to research and complete reconciliationSkillsKnowledge of Rules and RegulationsReconciliationAdvanced mathematic principlesReading Explanation of Benefits (EOB)Knowledge of Medical TerminologyUnderstanding Insurance ClaimsResearch Complex AccountsTraining and CoachingEffective CommunicationConfidentialityQualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent (GED) requiredTwo (2)+ years of experience in hospital or physician back-end insurance related activities (Billing & Follow-Up) requiredKnowledge of Medicaid and Medicare billing regulations requiredEpic systems experience preferredMust have training experienceLead experienceWe are committed to offering flexible work options where approved and stated in the job posting.
