Software Developer

_*SOFTWARE DEVELOPER*_ * _*We have an immediate opportunity for a full-time software developer in our Freehold, NJ office.*_ _*THIS JOB IS IN-HOUSE ONLY AT OUR CORPORATE OFFICES IN FREEHOLD, NJ.*_ The Software Developer is responsible for the design, development and installation of VCS software solutions for client applications. In this position, the developer builds high-quality, innovative and fully performing software in accordance and compliance with coding standards, technical design and web development. The software developer writes code to create single-threaded, multi-threaded or user interface event driven applications, either standalone or those which access servers or services. _*Responsibilities*_ * Develops & implements new software programs using approved coding languages * Codes, tests & reviews the core functions of web applications * Utilizes established development tools, guidelines & conventions * Utilizes React, JavaScript, .Net Core, C#, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, & ASP Web Services in day-to-day operations * Maintains & improves the performance of existing software * Tests & maintains software products to ensure strong functionality & optimization * Recommends improvements to existing software programs as necessary * Designs Web forms implementing VB server-side coding. Coding style should be clean, short, & direct * Completes all phases of SDLC including analysis, design, implementation, QA testing & support · * Analyzes & proposes solutions to likely causes of software/system issues * Maintains all logs & databases of reported issues & other related web activities * Attends VCS User Conference and provides client training as needed * Analyze user requirements & convert requirements to design documents * Make good technical decisions that provide solutions to business challenges * Provides comprehensive support for internal customers; achieves resolution of outstanding problems or issues * Researches up-to-date knowledge of technological developments in the industry * Utilizes strong problem solving and decision-making skills while using good judgment * Other duties as assigned _*Requirements:*_ * Must have experience in React, JavaScript, .Net Core, C#, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS & Visual Studio * Work experience - 1-2 years required * Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field * Hands on analytical aptitude skills * Detail-oriented individual * Excellent problem-solving skills * Result-driven mentality & excellent organizational skills * Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment *Apply if …* * You want to be part of a fast-growing technology company. * You describe yourself as energetic, motivated, and/or driven. * You want to help build an enterprise-level system for an industry leader * You're excited by working on a small, collaborative team and recognize that success for any product is ultimately measured by the success of the team. * You're well organized, detail-orientated, and self-driven. *Why VCS?* VCS Software is a progressive and fast-growing technology company.
