Full Stack Software Engineer - Remote Role

About the Role: Atlassian is seeking a Fullstack Software Engineer to develop and improve tools and services that support its engineering teams. In this role, you will work across backend services and customer-facing interfaces, building REST APIs, React components, monitoring solutions, and continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. You will also develop integrations with the company's content management system and contribute to reliable, maintainable software. The role involves working collaboratively with engineers, UX professionals, and visual designers to deliver effective solutions. This position is fully remote, but candidates must be located in either the US Pacific or Mountain time zone. Atlassian allows employees to work remotely or from an office in countries where the company has a legal entity, subject to the location requirements of this role.

Key Responsibilities: Build REST APIs that power core customer experiences. Develop customer-facing components using React and related frontend technologies. Configure monitoring for backend services to support system visibility and reliability. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for software development and deployment. Develop integrations with the company's content management system. Design and implement features and services with reliability and maintainability in mind. Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional partners to deliver improvements for engineering teams. Work with UX and visual designers to support effective user experiences. Contribute to platform integrations and backend services using appropriate server-side technologies.

Required Qualifications: 4+ years of experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and supporting libraries and technologies, such as ES6, React, and Node.js. Bachelor's or master's degree, with a preference for a degree in Computer Science. Experience implementing platform integrations using REST APIs. Experience using Git in a collaborative development environment. Familiarity with cross-browser-compatible HTML and Sass/CSS.Experience or familiarity working with UX and visual designers. Familiarity with server technologies such as NPM, Docker, NGINX, and Express/Node. Strong collaboration skills and an ability to work effectively with teammates who bring different strengths and expertise.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with an enterprise content management system. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.Experience with Java. Experience with Freemarker. Experience with Rust.

Work Arrangement: This is a fully remote position. Candidates must be located in the US Pacific or Mountain time zones.

Compensation and Benefits: Atlassian uses geographic pay zones to determine base salary ranges for new hires in the United States. The applicable range depends on the candidate's work location, skills, knowledge, and experience. Zone A: $150,300–$196,225 Zone B: $135,270–$176,603 Zone C: $124,749–$162,867 The role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
