We are looking to add an enthusiastic, driven Project Consultant to our design-build team.In this role, you aren’t just a salesperson; you are a key ambassador for our brand, guiding clients through the entire sales and design process to ensure their vision becomes a reality. You will report directly to the CEO and play a pivotal role in sourcing, qualifying, and closing high-quality remodeling projects that meet our strict standards for excellence. What You’ll DoAs a Project Consultant, you will manage the full sales and design lifecycle, ensuring every project meets our standards for profitability and customer satisfaction.Lead Generation & Sourcing: Actively source new remodeling projects through independent activities like networking events, trade associations, and workshops.The GRDB Sales Process: Manage leads from initial inquiry through consultation, proposal, and final contract.Project Development: Qualify prospects by creating "ballpark" estimates and collaborating with our Design and Production departments to ensure scopes of work meet client desires.Relationship Management: Cultivate lasting partnerships with architects, engineers, trade partners, and local building departments.Consultative Sales: Present feasibility studies, design agreements, and construction contracts that align with GRDB’s high standards of quality and constructability.Who You AreWe are looking for a highly energetic "people person" who balances technicalknowledge with exceptional communication skills.Tech-Savvy Strategist: You are proficient with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Apple/iOS systems. You are also comfortable using project management and internal sales software to maintain accurate client records and deliverables.Aligned with Values: You act with integrity, maintain a professional appearance, and follow company values in every interaction.Construction Sales Expert: You have a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in construction sales, specifically within the residential remodeling industry.Broad Remodeling Knowledge: You possess a comprehensive understanding of home remodeling—from structural framing and MEP systems to high-end finishes. You can speak fluently about "how a house works" to establish immediate authority with homeowners.The "Hunter" Mentality: You are an outgoing, proactive lead generator. You don’t just wait for the phone to ring; you have a track record of sourcing your own opportunities through networking, community engagement, and professional partnerships.High-Energy Personality: You are naturally enthusiastic and skilled at building quick, authentic rapport. You enjoy the "consultative" part of the sale as much as the "closing" part.Licensed & Local: You hold a valid California Driver’s License and are deeply familiar with the local East Bay/Walnut Creek market.Fluent Communicator: You can read construction documents fluently and possess the written and verbal skills required to present complex feasibility studies to discerning, high-net-worth clients.QualificationsThe following lists the minimum or desired skills, education and experience required:5 or more years of experience in residential remodeling and construction.2 or more years of experience in residential remodeling sales.Ability to read construction documents written in English.Good written and verbal communication skills.Proficient in the use of Google Suite & Microsoft Office tools and applications.Proficient in the use of Apple and iOS operating systems and applications.Valid California State driver’s license and personal vehicle insurance.Valid Home Improvement Salesperson license through the Contractors State License Board or ability to obtain one within two months of hire.Valid Social Security NumberAble to lift 25 pounds without assistance.Pass background check and drug testing without incident.Compensation & BenefitsSalary+Commission: $100k - $250kBenefits:Health, Dental, Vision and Life insuranceFlexible Spending AccountsPaid time off including holidays401(k) matchingFlexible scheduleWe hope to welcome you to our team!
