Mainframe Developer

Job Title: Mainframe Developer (Document Delivery)Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)Employment Type: Contract (W2 Only)Job Description:We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer to join the Document Delivery Generation team. . This role requires strong expertise in mainframe technologies and the ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment.Key Responsibilities:Support all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenanceDevelop and maintain mainframe-based print/document delivery applications and integrate with downstream systemsParticipate in architecture, design discussions, and create functional/technical documentationPerform code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and implement best practicesManage source control, branching, build, and release processesDeploy code across environments using EndevorProvide Level 1/2 production support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolutionParticipate in BCP/Disaster Recovery exercisesSupport code releases during off-hours (nights/weekends) as neededCollaborate within Agile/Scrum teams and take ownership of assigned tasks end-to-endRequired Qualifications:Strong experience in application development following SDLC and Agile methodologiesProven expertise in Mainframe DevelopmentHands-on experience with:COBOL, JCL, CICS/IMSDB2/SQL, VSAMTSO, ISPF, SDSF for production supportExperience with OpenText Exstream (Cloud Native experience is a plus)Solid understanding of batch and online processing systemsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to handle production support environmentsPreferred Skills:Experience in document generation/print delivery systemsExposure to cloud-native Exstream environmentsStrong communication and documentation skills
