Product and Market Manager
Charter Casting is hiring a Product & Market Manager!
This role will drive product marketing strategies and programs consistent with overall business objectives in one segment utilizing traditional and innovative marketing/product approaches, tools, and methodologies. The Product & Market Manager will manage the business development process from market analysis to new customer and application development for selected market segments.
This role can be located at the following sites
Charter Casting sites: Woodstock, IL or Shawano, WI
Charter Manufacturing's corporate office: Mequon, WI
Hybrid flexibility
3 days a week in office, 2 days remote
What you'll need:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or a related degree.
Four plus years' experience of combined sales, marketing, and/or technical field.
Technical knowledge of metals processing
Experience in sales and marketing of technical materials or customized products that require application development
Ability to work in teams as a leader and as a member
Capable of managing to completion a variety of projects and programs simultaneously and efficiently
Ability to be a self-starter and requiring little or no supervision
Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work with all levels of a customer's organization and internal management
Strong analytical skills to gather data from multiple sources and report findings
Solid understanding of margin analysis, cost drivers, and operational capabilities
Proficiency with advanced features of Microsoft Office software products
Preferred experience
Master's Degree in Business Administration or related advanced degree
Strong working knowledge of the specialty metals industry
Experience with the strategic planning process
Strong collaboration skills across multi-functional teams
What you'll do:
Develop product marketing strategies within the product line and marketing function
Develop and execute portfolio product marketing strategies to achieve stated revenue, profitability and market share objectives
Drive economic value across products in the segment
Lead initiatives which combine product development and process improvement to deliver improvement in quality and reliability
Lead efforts to evaluate trends in assigned segments and/or markets to determine segment presentation opportunities and strategies
Support promotional materials and events, as assigned by manager
Team up with the Field Sales organization to develop deep relationships with key customers within the segment
Direct the activities to key market segments and provides necessary resources to support the Field Sales organization
Collaborate with Sales Manager and customers to develop and execute marketing plans and programs
Partner with other departments to support portfolio optimization and new product launches
Ensure business-wide awareness of competitive landscape, market development opportunities, and potential technological advantages that clearly tie today's initiatives to longer-term strategies and values
Create effective detailed reports and marketing research documents to support internal and external market/customer
The annual hiring range for this position is: $100,000-$125,000. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on various factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, and qualifications. Compensation decisions are tailored to the unique circumstances of each position and candidate.
