We are a subsidiary of Nikkiso Company Ltd, a leading industrial manufacturer headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, with over $1.5 B in annual revenue, 8000 + employees worldwide, and publicly traded on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.Job OverviewThis role will be responsible for process and policy development, negotiation, procurement, order management, vendor management, system management, and other related procurement activities in the supply chain lifecycle for Nikkiso CEIG. The activities will encompass everything required for Executive Leadership and their teams to support day-to-day activities, as well as any goods or services centrally procured by CEIG on behalf of the individual Business Units. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and physical demands required.ResponsibilitiesThis role is primarily responsible for strategic and tactical global sourcing for goods and services required for the CEIG Executive Leadership members and on behalf of the Business units when requiredResponsible for supporting and co-leading the procurement strategies for different goods and services with the support of the Executive Vice President of OperationsResponsible for developing and maintaining supplier relationships and developing a structured supplier management planResponsible to ensure purchased materials meet quality, delivery, and cost targetsMonitor supplier performance to assure proper feedback and corrective actions are in place to improve quality and deliveryResponsible for monitoring inventory levels to ensure that adequate supplies of products are always availableAbility to manage multiple suppliers and commodities to ensure ongoing supply and appropriate pricing are metManage capabilities of existing and future supply base to ensure they meet the needs of our businessImplementation and continuous improvement of standardization activitiesSupport implementation of Global Commodity strategies between the Business Units where possibleThis role might require working with different sites within Nikkiso to identify opportunities to standardize and improve supply chain strategies and promote best practices across the businessPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related technical area or equivalent work experienceStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain good supplier and vendor relationshipsExpertise in problem-solving working with internal and external teamsAbility to lead/co-lead projects in cross functional teams to drive strategic sourcing in a global environmentAble to travel domestically and internationally as neededProficient in MS Office, Excel with excellent communications skillsDemonstrates excellence in interpersonal skills - verbal and written communication, self-starter, positive make-it-happen attitude, team playerEEOC StatementEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledNikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases Group companies are proud to be equal opportunity employers.
