Sr. Accountant
Description*Role based out of Charlotte, NC.Position SummaryThe Sr. Staff Accountant reporting to the US Controller, will understand accounting, controls, the general ledger and financial forecasting. This role provides management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts and preparation of management financial reporting.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepares consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments.Liaise with Inventory & Cost Analyst to plan and conduct periodic internal audits of policies and procedures at all company warehouse locations and perform periodic internal audits in the HQ and administrative officesPrepare written audit reports to Senior Management following monitoring activities of prior audit findingsAssist in and collect requested documentation for quarterly and annual SOX and financial external auditsPrepare and enter monthly journal entries including month end accrualsAssist in the monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing processAssist in annual inventory countsSupport accounting and ops teams with coordination and analysis of periodic inventory cycle counts of all company warehouse locationsPrepare corporate state sales and use tax returnsPrepare and submit government reporting (e.g. BEA and US Census Bureau)Research and correct account discrepanciesProvide accounting assistance to operational and sales personnelDevelops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures, recommending changes.Assist staff accountant with cash reconciliations and other mattersCalculate provision for bad debt each quarterPrepare general ledger account reconciliations on a monthly basisPrepare corporate reporting packageRecord payroll journal entry after each payroll cyclePrepare intercompany invoices and payments as neededPrepare and submit business property tax and business license filingsRecord new fixed asset additions and post depreciation expenseSALARY RANGEPosition ranges from $64,000- $80,000. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to education, training, and/or experience.RequirementsQualificationsBachelor's Degree in AccountingThree (3) plus years of general ledger accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environmentCPA or other similar certification considered favorablyCore CompetenciesExcellent general ledger knowledge and sound understanding of accounting principles in both theory and practical applicationExperience in Sarbanes Oxley environment with development and oversight of control proceduresExcellent analytical and modeling skillsExceptional MS Excel skills including usage of pivot tables and lookupsHigh attention to detail with the ability to multi-task in a high demand environmentStrong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilitiesExperience with Oracle preferredWorking ConditionsPrimarily office-based with occasional travel to assigned zone locations.Regular use of computer systems and office equipment.May require flexibility in schedule to support business needs (e.g., recruiting cycles, urgent employee matters).Caesarstone US provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
