Instrumentation and Control Engineer

I&C Engineer - Atlanta, GeorgiaPiper Maddox is partnering with a leading developer, owner, and operator of RNG projects across the U.S. This is an opportunity to join a highly technical engineering team supporting controls, instrumentation, automation, and operational optimization efforts across multiple renewable energy facilities.Key Responsibilities:○ Support controls, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems tied to RNG and landfill gas operations○ Troubleshoot and optimize PLCs, SCADA/HMI systems, process instrumentation, and automation infrastructure across operating facilities○ Configure, maintain, and support Envision HMI/SCADA systems including troubleshooting, data interpretation, and operational support○ Support field instrumentation including flow meters, analyzers, transmitters, sensors, and related process equipment○ Identify and troubleshoot operational issues including metering drift, data inconsistencies, communication failures, and process upsets○ Support commissioning, startup, and controls integration activities for operating and newly developed facilities○ Work closely with operations and engineering teams to improve plant reliability, controls performance, and operational efficiency○ Support remote and onsite troubleshooting efforts across multiple facilities as needed○ Assist with operational reporting, system diagnostics, and process optimization initiativesQualifications and Background:○ 3+ years of experience within controls engineering, instrumentation, automation, SCADA, or industrial process systems○ Strong hands-on experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and industrial controls systems○ Experience working with SCADA/HMI platforms, ideally including Envision or similar systems○ Familiarity with instrumentation systems including flow meters, analyzers, transmitters, and data acquisition infrastructure○ Experience troubleshooting operational issues tied to controls, automation, instrumentation, or process systems○ Background within RNG, landfill gas, wastewater, oil & gas, utilities, power generation, chemical processing, or related industrial environments preferred○ Strong troubleshooting mindset with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment○ Willingness to travel occasionally to operating facilities to support commissioning and field troubleshooting activitiesCompensation & Benefits:○ Base salary target: $130K–$140K + bonus○ Full Medical, Dental, Vision, & 401k benefits○ Onsite role based in Atlanta, GA
