Job Title: Microbiologist (Enteric & NGS Lab) Location: Indianapolis, IN (On-site) Duration: 12+ Months Contract Pay Rate: $31.14/hour on 1099 Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST Interview Type: In-person Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Microbiologist to perform microbiological and molecular testing on clinical specimens. The role involves identification of enteric pathogens using culture-based and advanced molecular techniques, while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:Perform microbiological testing including culture, biochemical tests, serotyping, and EIAConduct molecular testing such as PCR and Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS)Isolate and identify organisms including Salmonella, E. coli, Shigella, Vibrio, Listeria, and CampylobacterExtract nucleic acids using manual and automated methodsAnalyze, interpret, and report test results accuratelyMaintain laboratory documentation and records in compliance with CLIA regulationsPerform quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) proceduresOperate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipmentMonitor inventory and ensure availability of lab suppliesAssist in preparing reports and data analysisFollow all laboratory safety protocols and procedures Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Science (Biology or related field preferred)Strong knowledge of microbiology principles and laboratory practicesExperience handling clinical specimens and performing lab testingFamiliarity with laboratory safety standards and CLIA regulationsAbility to operate laboratory instruments and equipmentStrong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skillsEffective communication skills (written and verbal) Preferred Qualifications:2+ years of laboratory experienceExperience in a molecular biology laboratoryHands-on experience with PCR, sequencing, or similar techniques Work Environment: On-site laboratory settingExposure to biological and potentially hazardous specimensUse of personal protective equipment (PPE) required How to Apply: Submit your resume to ashi.t@iserveworld.com or feel free to reach at (215) 258-4848 Thanks and Regards, Ashi Thakur Cell: (215) 258-4848 || Email: ashi.t@iserveworld.com
