Job Summary The Kitchen Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that food preparation and service meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This position requires strong leadership skills to hire and manage kitchen staff, maintain inventory, and uphold food safety regulations. The Kitchen Manager will also collaborate with other managers and owner to provide exceptional dining experiences for guests. Responsibilities - Supervise kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling shifts to ensure optimal performance. - Oversee food preparation and presentation to guarantee quality and consistency. - Manage & validate inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste. - Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food handling and sanitation practices. - Develop menus in collaboration with chefs and culinary staff, considering seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. - Assist in banquet planning and execution, ensuring timely service and guest satisfaction. - Maintain a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional development. - Handle cash management responsibilities as needed during service periods. Skills - Strong shift management abilities to coordinate staff schedules effectively. - Proven experience in supervising kitchen operations within the food industry. - Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations. - Experience in banquet service or event catering is a plus. - Background in hospitality with a focus on customer service excellence. - Leadership skills to inspire and motivate kitchen staff towards achieving common goals. - Proficient in cash handling procedures to assist with financial transactions during busy shifts.
