Sales Engineer - Nationwide (Field-Based)We're recruiting a nationwide, field-based Sales Engineer to sell a highly technical mechanical solution into sophisticated, engineering-led environments. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex, long-cycle sales, enjoys deep technical discovery, and is comfortable engaging everyone from facility engineers to executive leadership.You'll own a national territory, build pipeline from the ground up, and work closely with internal technical teams to deliver compelling, high-value solutions to mission-critical customers.THIS IS A BASE PAY + HIGH COMMISSION PLAN OPPORTUNITYEssential DutiesSell a complex mechanical product to data centers, leveraging a strong technical backgroundLead in-depth discovery with sophisticated stakeholders across facilities, energy, operations, and executive leadershipBuild, qualify, and advance a national sales pipeline with long-cycle opportunitiesConduct on-site technical discovery, solution alignment, and customer presentationsDevelop compelling business cases focused on efficiency, reliability, and lifecycle valueManage complex deals from early-stage qualification through closeCoordinate internally with engineering, product, and technical teams to support specific customer needsOvernight travel required to customer sites across the U.S. (~40-50%)Minimum QualificationsProven success selling complex HVAC or mechanical equipment, retrofit solutions, or similar engineered systemsStrong technical fluency with HVAC systems-ideally chillers, cooling plants, and heat rejection systemsExperience selling into facilities and engineering-led buying processesStrong executive-level communication and consultative selling skillsTrack record of quota attainment and closing large, complex deals (long sales cycles welcome); 5+ years minimumPreferred QualificationsMechanical Engineering DegreeExperience selling into data centersCompensation/BenefitsBase salary: ~$175,000Commissions: Uncapped, with meaningful upsideOngoing comp structure: 5% of gross revenue, with an escalator to 7% over $1.7MComprehensive BenefitsTravel & LocationNationwide territory~40-50% travel required for customer site visits and meetings across the U.S.Travel arrangements/schedule are made directly by employee, supported by a generous monthly travel budgetLocation is flexible within the U.S.; candidate must be able to travel easilyApplication ProcessIf your experience matches the description above, submit your resume, and one of our recruiters will be in touch to tell you more about the position and learn more about your experience and aspirations.If your experience does not match this job description, we still encourage you to reach out to one of our recruiters, so we can learn about your professional aspirations for future job openings.About BemanaBemana provides recruiting services to the nation's equipment and industrial sectors.
