This role is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with clients, developers, and partners, and expanding Atalco’s presence in target markets. Day-to-day tasks include prospecting and qualifying leads, attending client meetings and industry events, preparing and delivering proposals and presentations, and collaborating with estimating and project teams to develop competitive bids. The Construction Business Development Manager also tracks market trends, maintains a pipeline of opportunities in a CRM system, and works with leadership to set and achieve revenue and growth targets. Regular site visits and coordination with operations teams help ensure client needs are understood and aligned with project capabilities.Qualifications Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, or account management within the construction or related industries.Strong skills in client relationship management, networking, and stakeholder communication.Ability to prepare and present proposals, quotes, and presentations tailored to commercial and industrial construction clients.Knowledge of construction industry practices, project lifecycle, and basic estimating or bidding processes.Proficiency with CRM tools and standard office software (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for tracking leads and reporting.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.Proven organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple opportunities and deadlines.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.Comfort working on-site, including visiting active construction projects and meeting clients in the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Area.Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for client meetings and industry events.Experience with regional markets in Louisiana and established local industry contacts are beneficial.
