This role involves delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced Intensive Care Unit environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to manage complex patient conditions independently. Work Schedule Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Shift Length: 12 hours Hours per Week: 36 hours Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Key Responsibilities Deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation). Manage critically ill patients requiring advanced interventions including ventilators, BiPAP, arterial lines, and treatment for conditions such as stroke, DKA, and alcohol withdrawal. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity and coordination of care. Act as a patient and family advocate, ensuring clear communication and education. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. Participate in discharge planning and facilitate smooth transitions of care. Uphold ethical, cultural, and professional standards aligned with ANA guidelines. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs. Delegate tasks appropriately while maintaining accountability for patient outcomes.
