Job Title: Python Developer (Remote) Duration : long-term contract Location : New York City, NY Interview : Video only Job Description: The client is seeking a Python Developer with expertise in data management and a basic understanding of Equities trading mechanics. The role involves developing and maintaining systems for managing financial data, including positions and P&L data flows. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Python, SQL, ETL processes, and API integration, with a solid foundation in financial trading concepts. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain Python-based applications for trading operations, including ETL processes. Design and execute SQL queries to manage trading positions and P&L datasets. Integrate APIs to streamline data flows between trading systems and other applications. Collaborate with trading teams to optimize data related to Equities products. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data to support decision-making and compliance. Must-Have Skills: Proficient in Python and SQL. Experience with ETL processes and API integration. Basic knowledge of Equities trading mechanics and P&L data flows. Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience with Geneva, Bloomberg AIM, and TSIP reports. Familiarity with contingency positions and corporate actions' impact on trading data. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field. 3+ years of Python development experience with a focus on data management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced financial environment.
