Controller
Job DescriptionA leading building supply company is looking for a Controller to join their team. The main responsibilities include preparing and monitoring the company’s financial reports, which include balance sheets and income statements. You will also execute internal controls, such as reconciliations, to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the financial statements and operational financial reports, as well as assist in any compliance audits and monitoring internal controls to ensure that everyone does their job correctly.Duties and Responsibilities:Book general ledger journal entries and post accounts payableProcess payroll weekly in ADPMaintain and close ERP (Infor) modules and generate monthly financial reportsManage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systemsManage company cash flow to maintain balances to operateMaintain internal control safeguards, including reconciliations, to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements and operational financial reportsAssist in any compliance audits, including collaboration with external accountantsMaintain and renew company insurance programsExecute HR responsibilities, such as process new hires, terminations, and insurance enrollmentFiling of invoices, check payments, or other supporting documentsProvide back up support and assistance in any special projectsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, construction managementExperience working with ERP software, such as inputting invoices, generating reports, etc. 5+ years' experience as a senior-level accounting or finance managerStrong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysisExemplary history of financial project management and decision makingWorking knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and reportingCPA highly preferredAbility to collaborate with leadership to support financial analysis and decision makingWorking knowledge of finance law and regulatory standards (GAAP)Strong understanding of economic and banking processesIntermediate computer skills (MS Word, Excel)Familiarity with data analysis to monitor trendsCompany DescriptionSBR is an award-winning Northern California recruiting agency experienced in placing talent for, direct hire builder positions.
