Structural CAD Technician

Job DescriptionStructural CAD Technician | Raleigh, NC This position is for a CAD Technician and is under the direct supervision of the Department Manager. The position is in our Structures Department with focus on bridges and transportation structures. The applicant will assist structural engineers in the development plans and details using CAD softwares (mainly MicroStation). ResponsibilitiesDaily in person presence at the Raleigh office location Obtain guidance from Structural Engineers Use computer drafting software to prepare high-quality design plans for bridge rehabilitations, bridge replacements and new bridgesCorrect mark-up drawings Take verbal direction and hand sketches to create CAD format details Manage project CAD files Qualifications2+ years of related industry experience preferredProficiency in at least one CAD software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation Open BridgeAbility to read and interpret engineering construction drawingsAbility to think 3-dimensionallyAbility to work independently and accomplish multiple tasksTeam-focused and enthusiasticAssociate's degree or Technical College preferredDigital Twin (3D modeling) experience is a plusJob Requirements
