V.P. - HR Operations

EMC strives to hire and retain the best people by engaging, developing and rewarding employees. Essential Functions: Provides leadership and strategic direction to the HR operations team. Develops a comprehensive HR operations strategy to ensure the company’s operations and practices comply with relevant laws and regulations. Ensures HR operations migrate toward and support EMC’s multi-year strategic plans, including ongoing reviews of the total rewards strategy and people analytics strategy. Develops, maintains and communicates strategic business plans to ensure transparency into program activities and alignment with broader organizational goals. Actively participates in steering and operation committees to ensure department objectives are integrated into HR offerings and business solutions. Establishes key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for the department to gauge the efficiency of processes, policies, and procedures, regularly assessing performance in comparison to benchmarks. Leverages People Analytics to formulate strategic recommendations, enhance HR processes, and align HR strategies with organizational goals. Evaluates processes and policies to identify efficiencies, regularly evaluating technology, tools, and standard operating procedures. Demonstrates clear return on investment (ROI) metrics and shifts focus to highest priorities supporting EMC strategy. Develops and maintains strong relationships with leaders across the organization, routinely seeking feedback to ensure business needs are being met with HR service offerings. Provides direction and consulting for people leaders and Board of Directors on HR operations, including market trends, competitive data, and applicable laws/regulations. Ensures value of team member’s total rewards is recognized and serves as a motivator to drive performance and retain top talent. Functions as trusted partner to Senior Leadership Team (SLT). Establishes a comprehensive compliance strategy to ensure HR operations and practices comply with relevant laws and regulations. Leads and directs team members in completing detailed analysis of existing standard operation practices and emerging trends to mitigate risk and ensure ethical practices. Develops and implements a talent strategy across the portfolio of functions to achieve goals. Effectively develops and grows internal talent – a priority in EMC’s culture. Successfully attracts great new talent where needed to fill gaps in expertise or raise the bar of performance. Advances EMC’s diversity, equity and inclusion goals. Fosters an innovative culture, including supporting new ideas and providing guidance on potential changes.
