Every meal we serve plays an important role in delivering comfort, nutrition, and meaningful daily experiences for our residents.Position OverviewOur kitchen operates daily from 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. This Full-Time role offers strong growth potential for individuals who demonstrate dependability, consistent high performance, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.Applicants must have flexible availability to meet operational needs. Shifts may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Schedule flexibility is a required qualification.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare high-quality meals in accordance with approved menus, maintaining consistency and attention to detail.Receive, label, store, and rotate food products in compliance with food safety standards.Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen environment.Collaborate effectively with culinary and dietary team members to ensure efficient daily operations.Properly shut down and secure kitchen equipment and work areas at the end of service.Accurately document food temperatures and complete required logs in a timely manner.Contribute to a positive dining experience that supports resident satisfaction and well-being.QualificationsMinimum of two (2) years of professional cook experience required.Experience in healthcare, senior living, or high-volume food service environments preferred.Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.Demonstrated reliability, work ethic, and a collaborative mindset.Why Join Epworth Villa?We value culinary excellence and the professionals who deliver it.
