Cloud Enginee - (Remote, Entry-Level)

Role Description This part-time, remote Cloud Engineer (Entry-Level) role at Contratista Independiente focuses on supporting cloud-based infrastructure and services. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with the deployment, configuration, and monitoring of cloud environments, as well as helping to maintain secure and reliable systems. The role involves collaborating with more senior engineers to troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and implement basic automation scripts. The Cloud Engineer will also document configurations and procedures, follow established best practices, and participate in regular check-ins to ensure projects stay on track.Qualifications Foundational Software Development skills, including basic scripting or programming experience and familiarity with version control tools.Understanding of Infrastructure concepts, such as servers, networking basics, and system monitoring.Knowledge of Cloud Computing platforms and services, including experience with at least one major provider (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).Practical experience with Linux environments, including command-line operations and basic system administration tasks.Basic familiarity with Databases, including querying, managing data, and understanding relational or NoSQL concepts.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to learn new technologies quickly.Effective written and verbal communication skills and comfort collaborating in a remote team environment.Relevant coursework, certifications, or personal projects in cloud engineering, DevOps, or related fields are beneficial.Ability to work independently, manage part-time hours responsibly, and follow documented procedures and security guidelines.
