Located in Union Point, GA, Penfield works discreetly with individuals to create tailored solutions for their recovery journey.Role DescriptionPenfield Addiction Ministries is seeking a full-time Substance Abuse Counselor for an on-site position at our Union Point, GA facility. The counselor will be responsible for conducting individual assessments, creating tailored treatment plans, leading group and individual counseling sessions, and providing relapse prevention support. The role also involves case management, coordination of client care, and collaboration with families to support the recovery process. Documentation and maintaining client records are essential aspects of the position.QualificationsProficiency in Treatment Planning and Case ManagementExperience with Chemical Dependency and Relapse Prevention strategiesKnowledge and expertise in Mental Health care and counselingStrong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skillsRelevant certifications such as CAC (Certified Addiction Counselor)Ability to work in a faith-based and collaborative environmentBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
