Line Cook/Prep Cook
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team. This role involves preparing and cooking food, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and supporting the overall food service operations. Ideal candidates will have a passion for food, excellent kitchen skills, and a commitment to food safety standards. Experience in dietary departments, catering, or restaurant environments is a plus, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to develop their culinary skills.
Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients and assist with meal preparation according to menu specifications
Cook and assemble dishes efficiently while maintaining quality standards
Handle food safely and adhere to proper food handling procedures
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment
Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware promptly to ensure smooth operations
Support menu planning and portion control as needed
Assist with food presentation and garnishing for plating
Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service experience
Requirements
Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service preferred; dietary aide or dietary department experience is a bonus
Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation and cooking techniques
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or holidays if needed
Basic understanding of menu planning and catering operations is advantageous
Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is required
Must be at least 18 years old

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
