Afinitas is part of BW Forsyth Partners, LLC, the investment group of global manufacturing and engineering consulting firm Barry-Wehmiller, a $3 billion organization with nearly 12,000 team members, united by a common belief: to use the power of business to build a better world.Job Description:Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesDesigns are functional, easily manufactured, and meet customer expectationsDesigns are completed according to scheduleDesigns meet Afinitas engineering standardsDesign analysis, drawings, and bills of material are accurateCoordinate layout and design of equipmentPerform design analysis for equipmentCreate manufacturing drawings for equipmentCreate and complete bills of material for equipmentEvaluate and implement design changesWork with manufacturing on build processes and improvementUse AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and MS Office software effectivelyQualificationsTechnical 4-year education or technical 2-year education requiredBasic understanding of:Drafting standards, dimensioning, and tolerancesMechanical power relationships such as horsepower, torque, speedStrength of materials and structural analysisManufacturing processesTraining and/or experience in using AutoCAD or similar CAD softwareTraining and/or experience in using SolidWorks or similar 3-D modeling softwareExcellent organizational and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, adapt to shifting prioritiesAttention to detailWork individually as well as in a team environmentTakes personal ownership and satisfaction on quality workWORK ENVIRONMENTThis is an office position associated with a manufacturing facility.
