Cemetery Service Specialist

We are looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented Cemetery Services Specialist to join our team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring every family we serve experiences care, respect, and professionalism at every step.Key Responsibilities:• Perform openings and closings for burials, entombments, and inurnments• Set, install, and assemble foundations, memorials, and markers• Install outer burial containers• Complete and respond to work orders related to grave and marker maintenance• Conduct Interment Verification Procedures• Prepare and maintain a clean 25-foot radius around burial sites• Fill graves and complete finishing tasks such as tamping, seeding, or laying sod• Follow all company safety rules and universal precautions• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, and facilities• Maintain a clean, organized work area• Complete required training through Dignity University• Uphold the standards of the Dignity Memorial Promise• Perform additional duties as assigned by managementMinimum Requirements:Education:• High school diploma or equivalentExperience:• At least 6 months of experience operating standard equipment perferredLicenses:• Acceptable driving record and required licenses to operate vehicles/equipmentKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:• Ability to operate hand tools (shovel, pick, rake, etc.) and lawn equipment• Ability to operate mechanical equipment (dump truck, tractor, utility vehicle, backhoe, etc.)• Strong measuring skills using tape measures, yardsticks, and similar devices• Effective communication with team members, contractors, and families• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions• Strong understanding of safety procedures• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
