Required Skills: Gastroenterologists should have an extensive knowledge of the upper and lower gastric tract; they must have experience using upper and lower endoscopy device, PEGs, and dilation equipment; and complete knowledge of gastrointestinal diseases and conditions. Diagnosing and treating GI disorders including Crohn s disease, ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, motility disorders, cirrhosis, and other digestive diseases Performing procedures such as: colonoscopy, upper GI endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, capsule endoscopy to examine the small intestine, anorectal and esophageal manometry, PEG/feeding tube placement, endoscopic treatment of Barrett's esophagus, polypectomy, and more Prescribing medications to treat digestive disorder Participating in continuing education activities to maintain professional certification Referring patients to specialists if further diagnostic testing or treatment is needed Benefits of this position full time position: Hospital- Employed Position Competitive Salary & wRVU bonus incentive plan Generous sign-on bonus Up to $15K relocation rei
